Emily Walgast Head Coach

Coach Emily started swimming when she was 8 years old for Collindale Swim team and has barely stepped away from the pool deck since. Coach Emily swam for Fort Collins Area Swim team for 8 years before going to swim at Adams State University for three years. Emily than made the hard choice to transfer and go to the University of Northern Colorado (GO BEARS!) Where she earned her degree in Special Education. Quickly after graduation she went back to school and received her masters degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (BCBA) therapy. Through all this schooling she never could get off the pool deck. She was able to be an assistant coach for Fort Collins High School during the girls season as well as Mountain View High School girls swim team. She truly loves coaching and being able to show kids the love of swimming that she still has. She is so excited to be back at the team that started her love for the sport and can not wait for a great season

Coach Micah Assistant Coach

My name is Micah Moore and I am going into my sophomore year at Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction. I am majoring in sports management with the dream to one day become the head coach of a college swim team. I am on the swim team at CMU, where I swim a mix of butterfly and IM. I love swimming, I started swimming when I was six years old and swam summer league in Fort Collins for 4 years, so I know what it’s like and how much fun I had doing it! I also come from a family of swimmers, my parents swam, and so does my younger brother Liam and younger sister Hettie. This summer I really hope to give back to this team, I want to give these athletes the best summer of swimming they have ever had!
